HD 60364 — low-voltage electrical installations
What is it?
The European rulebook (harmonised from IEC 60364, in Germany VDE 0100) for designing and building electrical installations in buildings. Part 6 requires verification by measurement: insulation resistance, fault-loop impedance, RCD tests.
What evidence should a candidate have?
Vocational diploma, and above all measurement protocols per HD 60364-6 the candidate produced — the strongest proof of independent work.
Why it matters for staffing
An electrician who measures and signs protocols can hand over installations legally; one who only pulls cables cannot. Rate accordingly.
