Regulation (EC) 307/2008 — vehicle A/C (MAC) training
What is it?
EU law: mechanics recovering refrigerant from vehicle air-conditioning (under Directive 2006/40/EC) must hold a training attestation. Attestations are mutually recognised across member states.
What evidence should a candidate have?
MAC training attestation naming the training body — a small paper that legally unlocks all A/C service work.
Why it matters for staffing
Every workshop does A/C service in summer; a mechanic without MAC attestation legally cannot, making this cheap certificate a real placement differentiator.
