EQF, NPK, Geselle/Meister — vocational qualification systems
What is it?
The European Qualifications Framework (EQF, levels 1–8) makes national diplomas comparable: a Slovenian NPK or vocational diploma, a German Geselle (EQF 4) or Meister (EQF 6) can be placed on one scale across the EU.
What evidence should a candidate have?
The diploma/NPK certificate itself, ideally with an EQF level or Europass supplement; for Germany, Geselle/Meisterbrief is the strongest currency.
Why it matters for staffing
Translating a candidate's papers into EQF language lets clients in any country instantly understand their level — fewer rejected proposals.
