EN 13549 — quality measurement for cleaning services

What is it?

The European standard for objectively measuring cleaning quality: sampling plans, acceptable-quality levels and inspection systems. Professional cleaning companies build their client SLAs on it; in food areas Reg. (EC) 852/2004 hygiene rules apply on top.

What evidence should a candidate have?

Roles in companies with quality systems, hygiene training certificates, machine skills (scrubber-dryers) and verifiable client references (site type, m², duration).

Why it matters for staffing

Cleaning is a huge EU shortage occupation with chronic no-show risk — candidates with stable references and quality-system experience are the reliable core every contract needs.
