What is it?

In IT, vendor exams play the role of trade certificates: cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP associate & professional), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), networking (Cisco CCNA/CCNP) and software testing (ISTQB). They have levels, IDs and expiry dates — verifiable, unlike CV buzzwords.

What evidence should a candidate have?

Certificate name, level, credential ID and validity — most issuers offer public verification links. Production experience must back the paper.

Why it matters for staffing

A candidate with a current professional-level cloud certificate plus production references is immediately billable at top rates; keyword-only CVs are not.
