ADR — dangerous goods by road

What is it?

The UN/UNECE agreement governing transport of dangerous goods in Europe, renewed every two years (current edition 2025). Drivers need a basic course, plus specialisations for tanks, explosives (class 1) or radioactive material (class 7).

What evidence should a candidate have?

ADR training certificate (card) listing covered categories and expiry date — check tanks separately, it is its own specialisation.

Why it matters for staffing

Tanker and chemical logistics pay premium rates but strictly require the right ADR categories — the card decides the placement.
